Mary Beth Stager
Mary Beth is an eclectic designer with a bent toward intricate layers of unusual materials. During a search for the perfect accessories for a wedding outfit, she found some quartz beads. The vendor would string them for $30. Mary Beth thought “I can do that.” The rest, as they say, is history.
From her North Georgia mountain studio, she weaves and embroiders unique beaded jewelry that is collected by people who pursue art-to-wear signature pieces. Her one-of-a-kind art dolls are a melange of sculpture, costume design and her jeweler’s craft.
She spends her time making jewelry and also exploring other types of media. Her work is permanently displayed at the Art Colony. As a member of the NE Georgia Arts Guild, her work can also be viewed at and around Clayton Georgia.
